Snyder Named Carolina Virginia Collegiate League Player of the Year

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Mike Snyder of the Purdue Fort Wayne baseball program was selected as the Carolina Virginia Collegiate League Player of the Year.
Snyder led the Fuquay-Varina Twins to a regular season championship and the league's top seed for the CVCL tournament. His team went 41-11 for the season. He hit .404 with 41 RBIs and eight home runs for the Twins. Snyder scored 37 runs, recorded 80 total bases and slugged .702.
The CVCL is a wood bat summer baseball league consisting of players from all levels of college baseball. The league includes teams from North Carolina and Virginia.
Snyder will return for his junior season with the Mastodons in 2019. He started 38 games in the infield for the 'Dons in 2018.
