Two, Two Players of the Week in One...
Nicole Rightnowar earned her second career Summit League Offensive Player of the Week honor on Sept. 17. The senior outside hitter was named the POW after being named the RMU Sheraton Innvitational MVP. During the tournament, Rightnowar led the Mastodons with 31 kills and 4.43 kills per set. She was second on the team with 20 digs and a 2.86 digs per set average. She had a double-double with 18 kills and 12 digs in a sweep over Duquesne. Rightnowar followed it up with 13 kills and eight digs in a four-set win over host Robert Morris. The Mastodons are the only team with two Offensive Player of the Week honorees in the league, after Madison Jaqua also earned the honor during the opening weekend.
Double Millennium Club...
On Sept. 4, 2018 at home against Eastern Michigan, Nicole Rightnowar became the 9th player in school history to amass 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs.
