Men’s Cross Country Posts Season Bests At Notre Dame

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Purdue Fort Wayne men's cross country team earned several season-best times on Friday (Sept. 28) at the Joe Piane Invitational hosted by the University of Notre Dame at the Burke Golf Course. It was a five mile race, a distance just longer than an 8K.
Logan Kitchen led the 'Dons with a 60thplace performance (26:02.83). Sam Williamson followed in 81st(26:41.76). Robert Peck took 86th(26:51.81). Three spots behind Peck was Sammy Moran, with a 26:58.63 performance.
Alex Barton earned 96th(27:32.68) with Kurt Unger (27:44.46) in 99th. Teammate Austin Rockstroh finished right behind in 100th(27:51.79). Caleb Whitlock was 107th(29:07.35).
The 'Dons took 13th(372). Calvin (98) won the event.
The Mastodons return to action on Oct. 12 at the Bradley Pink Classic.
