Cross Country Heads to Illinois on Friday To Run At Bradley

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Mastodons will head to Peoria, Illinois for the Bradley Pink Classic Friday (Oct. 12) afternoon hosted by Bradley University. It will be the final meet for the 'Dons before the Summit League Championships.

MEN'S PREVIEW (8K)
The Mastodons finished 13th overall at the Joe Paine Invitational two weeks ago (Sept. 28). Logan Kitchen led the 'Dons with a 60th place performance (26:02.83). The 'Dons ran at Bradley last season, taking 22nd. Kitchen had the best time at Bradley last year, running the course in 26:29.6.
WOMEN'S PREVIEW (6K)
Each Purdue Fort Wayne women's cross country student-athlete set a new season 5K best at the Joe Paine Invitational on Sept. 28, earning the team a 13th finish overall. Emma Rafuse broke the 17 minute mark with a third place time of 16:58.87. She was less than eight seconds behind the winner. Hannah Aschliman took 43rd with a personal best time of 18:34.46. Last season at Bradley, Rafuse took fourth overall with a 21:06.0 performance.
