Mastodons Fall In Horizon League Preview Matchup

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Alex Frank scored his fifth goal of the season in Purdue Fort Wayne men's soccer's 3-1 loss at Northern Kentucky on Tuesday (Oct. 29) in non-league play. When the two teams meet next season it will be as conference foes in the Horizon League.
NKU took a 2-0 lead to half with a pair of goals in the first 45 minutes. Conner Probert scored in the 27th minute, assisted by Alex Willis and Abudl Kooistra. The Horizon League's leader in goals scored, Alex Grieve, added a tally in the 41st minute.
The Mastodons cut the deficit in half in the 64th minute when Frank scored for the Mastodons.
Purdue Fort Wayne's comeback was halted in the 84th minute when Greive found the back of the net again for the Norse.
NKU improves to 5-10-1. The 'Dons drop to 3-13-0. The Mastodons return to play on Saturday at home against Eastern Illinois.
