Lakewood Country Club
Designed by William Bell in 1933, Lakewood Golf Course is one of the original gems of Southern California golf. Water comes into play on seven of the holes, mainly from its signature man-made Lake Bouton. One of the longer courses in the area at over 7,000 yards back from the back tees, the course has limited elevation change and tree-lined fairways. To hone your game, Lakewood Country Club provides an expansive practice facility and top-notch amenities—everything you need for an exceptional golf experience.
Mastodon Lineup
Callahan Elzey, Eric Brinker, Kasey Lilly, Logan Anderson and Cody White will represent the Mastodons for the team score. Lilly and Anderson will be competing in their first collegiate outing. Jacob Deakyne will compete as an individual.
Top-10 Finishes
Eric Brinker and Callahan Elzey lead the Mastodons in career top-10 finishes. Brinker has four, including a medalist honor at the Lonnie Barton Invitational in his freshman year in 2018. Elzey has five, three of which came last season. He earned a top-five finish twice last season as a junior.
Last Time Out
Purdue Fort Wayne finished seventh at the Crusader Collegiate on September 17. Callahan Elzey led the 'Dons with a seventh-place finish. The Mastodons topped three Horizon League teams: IUPUI, Detroit Mercy and Green Bay.
Next Time Up
Dayton, Ohio is the next destination for the Mastodons, as they conclude their fall season with the Dayton Flyer Invitational on October 14-15. The event is unsurprisingly hosted by Dayton.
