Logan Anderson Finishes T-14th at Tom Tontimonia Invitational

WESTLAKE, Ohio - Purdue Fort Wayne freshman Logan Anderson finished in a tie for 14th place at the Tom Tontimonia Invitational on Tuesday (Oct. 8). The Mastodon men's golf team finished eighth of 11 teams, ahead of a pair of Horizon League teams in Detroit Mercy and Northern Kentucky.
Anderson birdied the par-five sixth, for an even front nine. A pair of bogeys on the back led to his final round of 73, for a total of 217 (+4). Eric Brinker had nine pars on the front nine, and a birdie on 18 for a 74-219 (+6). He finished in a tie for 24th.
Kasey Lilly finished his first-career tournament in 33rd place with a 77-222. He birdied two with a three, carding 38-39-77. Callahan Elzey rounded out the Mastodons' team score, carding a 76-231 for a tie for 61st. He had three birdies on the day: holes two, 16 and 18. Cody White rounded out the team representative with a 72nd-place finish with a 79-238. He birdied 17 and 18 with a pair of threes.
Jacob Deakyne played as an individual turning in a 81-232 for a tie at 65th. He holed a birdie-four on number six.
Bowling Green was the team champion, recording a 837 (-15) for the tournament. The Falcons had the individual medalist, Rodrigue Vie, who shot a 67-69-69-205 (-8).
The Mastodons will hit the course again on Monday (Oct. 14) at the Dayton Flyer Invitational. This will be their last competition of the fall season.
