‘Dons Celebrate Seniors Before 3-1 Loss to Denver

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Purdue Fort Wayne men's soccer saw their 2019 campaign come to an end on Saturday (Nov. 9) in a 3-1 loss to the Denver Pioneers.
Prior to the game Kyle Hoagland, Nick Cozad and Jan Schumacher were honored as part of Senior Night festivities.
In the contest, Denver was up 1-0 in the first when the 'Dons tied it up in the 16th minute. Nemanja Gvozdic scored the goal on a penalty kick. It was Gvozdic's first career goal.
Denver closed out the scoring with goals in the 20th and 21st minutes. Preston Judd had the first and third goals, with Callum Stretch notching the second.
Mathias Mikalsen had a pair of shots stopped in the final 10 minutes as the 'Dons looked to tie the contest.
The Mastodons finish the 2019 season 3-15 (0-5 Summit League). Denver moves to 4-11-3 (2-2-1 Summit League).
