No. 10 Lewis Offense Too Much For No. 15 Mastodons

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - No. 7 Lewis used an efficient offense to take down No. 15 Purdue Fort Wayne men's volleyball 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-20) on Saturday night (Feb. 16). The Flyers hit .403 for the match.
The first and second set were all Lewis, as they held the Mastodons to -.062 and .154 hitting. Colton Stone had the only ace of the match in the opening set.
The last set of the evening was the closest throughout, with the 'Dons taking their first lead at 12-11 on a kill from Richie Diedrich. He finished with six kills, following behind Pelegrin Vargas and Stone who had eight and seven respectively.
The Mastodons fall to 8-7, 2-2 in the MIVA while Lewis improves to 11-4, 4-0 MIVA. Purdue Fort Wayne is back in action on Thursday (Feb. 21) when the 'Dons travel down I-69 to face Ball State.
