FORT WAYNE, Ind. - No. 12 Purdue Fort Wayne is set for a pair of MIVA matches against Lindenwood and Quincy on Sunday and Monday on Arnie Ball Court.

Lindenwood is 7-9, 3-3 MIVA and are led by Charley Hlavin, who notches 2.72 kills per set. However, the offense is fairly spread around, as four different attackers are averaging over 2.00 kills per set. The Lions are on a three-match win streak, having a win over Ohio State and back-to-back wins over Quincy. Connor Hipelius is the current MIVA Defensive Player of the Week.
Scouting Quincy (4-12, 0-6 MIVA)
Quincy is led by junior Omari Wheeler, who leads the MIVA in kills per set with 4.10. The Hawks are 4-12, 0-6 MIVA. The Hawks will have a match with Ball State before coming to the Summit City to face the 'Dons on Monday.

Sunday's match against Lindenwood will be Michael Keegan's 100th career match at Purdue Fort Wayne. This is 10th in the country among active players.
Vargas for Player of the Week
Pelegrin Vargas earned his first-career MIVA Offensive Player of the Week honor on February 26. He had 19 kills in a three-set victory at Ball State with a .444 hitting percentage. He led the Mastodons to their first sweep at Ball State since 2000 and their first win over the Cardinals since 2015.
Moving Up the Rankings
Michael Keegan has 3,113 career assists, putting him in fifth place in program history after passing Dennis Santiago at Lewis on February 16. Phil Bodine is next on the list in fourth; he had 3,188 assists from 1985-88.

With Michael Keegan's 3,113 career assists, he is third in the nation among active players in that category. He trails only Josh Tuaniga of Long Beach State who has 3,920 and Micah Ma'a with 3,201.
He Doesn't Make Mistakes
Austin Neace ranks fifth in program history in career reception percentage (min. 100 receptions) at .965. He has only 11 errors on 310 receptions in his four years with the Mastodons.
Hi, My Name Is Colton and I'll Be Your Server
Colton Stone is averaging 0.444 aces per set, which is good enough for third in the MIVA, behind just Matt Yoshimoto and Kyle Bugee of Lewis. Stone had a career-high four aces against McKendree on Feb. 8.
Richie Can Block!
Richie Diedrich has had eight blocks in two matches so far this season, both matched his career-high set against No. 12 George Mason in 2017. This season, the junior had eight blocks at Queens in three sets and at No. 8 Stanford in four. He also had seven and six blocks in the Mastodons' 3-0 wins over Ohio State and Ball State, respectively. His average of 1.019 blocks per set is fifth in the MIVA.

The Mastodons are in the AVCA Top 15 Coaches Poll this week, coming in at No. 12. The 'Dons have been ranked in the poll for 298 weeks since its inception in 1986.

There is only one team in the country that has three players on the current roster that have earned a Sports Imports/AVCA National Player of the Week. That team? Purdue Fort Wayne. Tony Price won the honor in 2018, while Michael Keegan and Pelegrin Vargas each earned the accolade this season. There are only nine other programs that have ever had three players honorees on the same roster.
