The Purdue Fort Wayne baseball team is back to league play for a weekend series against Western Illinois. The two teams will play one game on Friday as scheduled but will now play a doubleheader on Saturday due to threatening weather on Sunday.

Travis Upp knocked in a run thanks to a double on Wednesday. He has 11 RBI on the season. Brian Skelton threw a scoreless inning of relief for the Mastodons on Wednesday. Skelton now has four trips to the mound this year where he hasn't allowed a run.
Scouting the Leathernecks (11-19, 5-7 Summit League): Bailey Montgomery leads the Leathernecks with a .304 batting average. On the mound, Javin Drake owns a 3.79 ERA ranking him fourth in the Summit League for lowest ERA. Jace Warkentien has an ERA of 4.39 in 11 appearances and four games started.
