‘Dons Fall To ORU On Saturday; Final Game Moved to Sunday Due To Rain

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Purdue Fort Wayne dropped a Summit League game to Oral Roberts 10-0 on Saturday (April 27) afternoon at Mastodon Field. The two clubs were scheduled to play a second game, but rain has now pushed that contest to Sunday (April 28) at 12:30 p.m.
The 'Dons were done in by one big inning. A six-run third for the Golden Eagles put the 'Dons down 7-0.
Purdue Fort Wayne had a runner on in five innings but couldn't get one home. One-out singles by Jacob Dickson and Jack Lang put runners on first and second with one out but a double-play ended the threat.
Tyler Kissinger took the loss. He is now 2-4. Chase Phelps tossed the final 5.0 innings. Matt Gaskings threw all 8.0 innings to get the win.
Purdue Fort Wayne (5-35, 0-20 Summit League) and Oral Roberts (21-18, 12-8 Summit League) will close out the series on Sunday.
