Women's Soccer Falls to Indiana State on Sunday

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - After 90 minutes of game time, Purdue Fort Wayne left Indiana State with a 3-0 loss on Sunday (Sept. 22).
In the first half, the Mastodons kept the Sycamores scoreless and ended the half 0-0.
Kate Face from Indiana State had a breakaway and shot the ball into the left corner, scoring the winning goal for the Sycamores (56'). The Sycamores scored two more goals at the 75th minute and the 84th minute.
At the 81st minute, Lauren Lawrence took a shot for the Mastodons from outside the 18, but couldn't find the back of the net. Kailyn Wade and Isabelle Wissel each took a shot on goal for the 'Dons, but ISU saved both.
Purdue Fort Wayne moves to a 4-3-2 record, still the best record for the Mastodons through nine games in program history. Indiana State moves to 2-6-1.
The Mastodons will stay on the road for matchup against Morehead State on Sunday (Sept. 29). The Mastodons have not faced off against the Eagles since 2006.
