Arnie Ball - Men's Volleyball, Women's Volleyball - 35 years as head coach of men's volleyball program, eight years as head coach of the women's volleyball program ... Totaled 575 wins as men's coach and 233 as women's coach ... Sixth-most wins in NCAA men's volleyball history ... Also a member of the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Hall of Fame.
Lloy Ball - Men's Volleyball - Four-time All-American, four-time U.S. Olympian, captain of the U.S. Olympic Volleyball team ... Two-time Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Player of the Year ... Led the Mastodons to three NCAA Final Four appearances ... Recorded over 6,500 assists, ranking sixth all-time in NCAA men's volleyball history ... Also a member of the MIVA Hall of Fame.
Kenneth J. & Linda S. Balthaser - Supporters - Long-time supporters of Mastodon Athletics ... Ken is the IPFW Associate Librarian Emeritus ... Linda is the IPFW School of Arts and Sciences Assistant Dean Emerita ... Combined to serve the university for 77 years ... Earned "Butch" Perchan Award in 1998 and the athletic department's fan appreciation award in 1988 and 1998.
Laura Douglas Stegall - Women's Volleyball - All-Great Lakes Valley Conference Team selection in 1998, 1999 and 2000 ... AVCA All-Region Team in 1998 ... GLVC Player of the Year in 2000 ... To this day holds the single-match record for kills with 36 ... Third in program history in career kills with 1,904 and digs with 1,623 ... CoSIDA Academic All-American.
Loren Gebert - Men's Volleyball - First All-American in Mastodon men's volleyball history (1985 - honorable mention, 1986 - third team) ... All-MIVA in 1984, 1985 and 1986 ... First in program history in points per set with 7.32, first in aces per set with 0.60, second in kills per set with 5.51, and third in digs per set with 2.58.
Sean Gibson - Men's Basketball - Third in Mastodon men's basketball history in points scored with 1,765, fourth in made field goals with 588, first in free throws made with 557, second in rebounds with 965, and fifth in blocks with 94 ... Led the Mastodons to their first GLVC championship and first NCAA Tournament berth (1992-93) ... All-GLVC Second Team in 1990-91 and First Team in 1991-92 and 1992-93.
Mike Harper - Men's Soccer - All-time leading scorer in Mastodon men's soccer history ... Scored 72 goals and dished out 36 assists for 145 total points ... Four-time GLVC All-Conference selection ... Four-time NCAA All-East Regional selection ... Coached the men's soccer program from 2007-19 ... Led the team to 65 wins as a coach.
Tami Isch Henry - Women's Volleyball - Mastodon women's volleyball's career record holder with 5,602 assists ... Also holds the program records for assists in a season (1,603) and assists in a single match (84) ... AVCA All-Great Lakes Region selection in 1998 and 1999 .... All-GLVC selection in 1998, 1999 and 2000 ... Led 1998 team to NCAA Division II Tournament.
Lindy Jones Fuelling - Women's Basketball - Led the 1995-96 Mastodon women's basketball team to the NCAA Division II Tournament after leading the NCAA in scoring at 25.0 points per game ... Second in program history in scoring with 2,107 points and first in steals with 249 ... Set the single-game scoring record at 43 points ... GLVC Player of the Year and Kodak All-America Honorable Mention in 1995-96
Lawrence Jordan - Men's Basketball - Mastodon men's basketball all-time assists leader with 913 ... Program's all-time steals leader with 324 ... GLVC single-season assists record holder with 182 ... All-Great Lakes Valley Conference First Team in 1990.
Lawrence Lee - Supporter - Served as a member of the original Hilliard Gates Scholarship Committee ... Charter member and President of the Royal Dons Club ...Created the Lloy Ball Scholarship Fund for Men's Volleyball ... Led the drive for IPFW to transition to Division I in 2001.
Lisa Miller McBride - Women's Basketball - All-time leading scorer and rebounder in Mastodon women's basketball history with 2,358 points and 937 rebounds ... Kodak All-America Honorable Mention in 1990-91 and First Team in 1991-92 ... Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year in 1991-92 and three-time All-GLVC First Team selection ... Also a a member of the GLVC Hall of Fame.
Mike Mungovan - Baseball - Second in Mastodon baseball history in slugging percentage at .670 and first in batting average at .404 ... Third in program history in home runs with 17 and second in triples with seven ... Holds the program's single-season batting average with a .466 average in 1977.
Raul Papaleo - Men's Volleyball - Two-time AVCA All-American in 1992 and 1993 ... Led the Mastodon to two MIVA titles and NCAA Tournament berths in 1991 and 1992 ... MIVA Player of the Year in 1992 ... Fifth in program history in digs with 747 ... Won a Bronze Medal at the Pan-American Games in 2003 and was a member of the Puerto Rico Olympic Beach Volleyball Team in 2004.
Bronn Pfeiffer - Men's Soccer - Fifth all-time in program history in points with 64 and eighth in goals with 21 ... Dished out 22 assists, which is second all-time for a career ... Four-time All-Great Lakes Valley Conference selection ... Played professionally for nine years for the Fort Wayne Flames, Indiana Kicks, Chicago Power and Detroit Rockers ... Went on to serve as an assistant coach for the Mastodon men's soccer team for 11 seasons.
Clara Schortgen Meyer - Women's Volleyball - Three-time captain for the women's volleyball team from 1982-84 ... Led the Mastodons to their first-ever Great Lakes Valley Conference championship in 1984 ... All-GLVC First Team in 1984 ... Fifth in Mastodon women's volleyball history in career service aces with 185 ... Went on to serve as an assistant coach for the women's volleyball program from 1985-87.
David "Doc" Skelton - Administrator - Coached men's basketball from 1966-70 ... Faculty member of the faculty senate athletic advisory committee from 1970-79 ... Coached the first softball team in 1975 ... Coached women's basketball from 1977-79 ... Served as the Director of Athletics from 1979-1987 ... During his tenure, IPFW joined NCAA Division II and the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
Hector Soto - Men's Volleyball - Four-time All-MIVA First Team selection ... AVCA All-American in 1998, 1999 and 2000 ... Led the Mastodons to the 1999 MIVA championship and a berth to the NCAA Tournament ... Program's all-time leader in career kills (2,193), single-season kills (705), and single-match kills (51).
Rhonda Unverferth Osterhage - Women's Basketball - American Women's Sports Federation All-America selection in 1984-85 ... All-Great Lakes Valley Conference First Team in 1984-85 ... GLVC Player of the Year in 1984-85 ... Fifth in program history in single-season scoring average with 21.7 points per game in that same season ... Despite just three seasons with the Mastodons, she ranks sixth all-time in career rebounds with 247.
