Eric Brinker and Kasey Lilly 1-Under Through Two Rounds

PALM CITY, Fla. - The second day of the UNCG Martin Downs Collegiate proved to be more difficult for the field on Saturday (Feb. 14), but Eric Brinker and Kasey Lilly both finished still under par at the Osprey Course.
Brinker shot a 73 to move to 143 (-1) for the weekend. He had two birdies on the front on seven and eight, and carded another on 15. Lilly was tied with Brinker after two in 22nd place, as he shot a 75 on Saturday. Two birdies on his scorecard came on holes eight and 13.
Burke Pitz is in 57th heading into the final day, as he birdied three holes for his 76. He finished at 150 after birdies on holes one, eight and 15. Callahan Elzey brought an 81 into the clubhouse to finish 74th with a 154. Jacob Deakyne also had an 81, getting birdies on three, 13 and 16.
Cody White carded a a 79 to move into a tie for 57th at 150, while Parker Deakyne finished 92nd with an 85-164.
The Mastodons are still in 10th through two rounds at 590. Host UNC Greensboro is leading the pack with 541, five strokes ahead of the next closest team. Jonathan Brightwell of UNCG is still in first through two rounds with a 131 (-13).
The third and final round of the UNCG Martin Downs Collegiate will begin bright and early on Sunday morning (Feb. 16).
