LPGA International Rees Jones Signature Course
Since 1994, LPGA International's signature Rees Jones golf course is a favorite of the tour players. It is a traditional links style 7,088 yard design. You will enjoy the strategic mounding, numerous expanses of sand bunkers, natural marsh areas, beautiful lakes and undulating greens. While extremely playable for all skill levels, the ingenious and inventive player is rewarded with multiple options on nearly every shot. The Jones Course is 4-Star rated by Golf Digest and was awarded 6th in their "America's Top 50 Courses for Women 2010" list.
Mastodon Lineup
The Mastodons will travel eight players to Florida: Callahan Elzey, Eric Brinker, Kasey Lilly, Burke Pitz, Jacob Deakyne will play for the team score. Parker Deakyne, Cody White and Jake Kennedy will play as individuals.
(Double) Eagle
Last fall, Kasey Lilly became the first Mastodon to record an eagle and a double-eagle in the same day of play. He did this by carding a 3 on the 10th hole at the NCR Country Club. He turned around on his second round and nailed his second shot on the 560-yard par-five sixth for the only albatross in the field.
Top-10 Finishes
Eric Brinker and Callahan Elzey lead the Mastodons in career top-10 finishes. Brinker has four, including a medalist honor at the Lonnie Barton Invitational in his freshman year in 2018. Elzey has five, three of which came last season. He earned a top-five finish twice last season as a junior.
Last Time Out
Purdue Fort Wayne finished ninth at the Orlando Invitational, ahead of Bethune-Cookman and Creighton. Eric Brinker and Kasey Lilly led the team by both shooting 236.
