• Newcomer Demetric Horton has seen significant time for the 'Dons off the bench. He has played 20 or more minutes in all but one game. He has finished in double-digits in all but one game for an average of 11.6 points per contest this year. He had a season-high 16 points against Northern Kentucky in the opener of the series.
• Demetric Horton is shooting 40.9 percent (18-of-44) from three, third best in the Horizon League. Horton's 1.9 steals per game ranks sixth in the league.
• Bobby Planutis is averaging in double-digits with 10.6 points per contest. He is shooting 41.9 percent (13-of-31) from three but has proven to be more than just a spot up shooter. The Pennsylvania native has made 17-of-19 from the free throw line.
• Dylan Carl has made 20-of-24 (83.3 percent) from the floor this season. He has only one attempt outside of the paint this season.
• The Mastodons shot 64.2 percent from the floor and 64.7 percent from three in their win over Robert Morris on Dec. 27. Both performances are the best in the Horizon League this season.

A FEW NOTES ON THE NORTHERN KENTUCKY GAMES:

• The 'Dons led for 23 minutes in both games.
• Deonte Billups made a career-high six 3-pointers in the opener against Northern Kentucky. It is the most 3-pointers in a game by a Mastodon this season. It was one of Billups' best games as a Mastodon. All told he was 8-of-10 from the floor for a career-high 22 points while adding three rebounds.
• Jalon Pipkins had a career-high four steals in the opener and a career-high seven field goals in the second game of the series.
THE 'DONS WENT TO JARRED:
• Jarred Godfrey finished with a line of 27 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and five steals against Robert Morris (Dec. 27). Per sports-reference.com, he is one of only 10 players since the 2010-11 season to record such a line in a game. The list includes Ben Simmons and Kemba Walker. He is the only player on the list to do so while taking fewer than 14 shots from the floor. Godfrey finished 9-of-11.
• Sports-reference.com produces game scores for individual performances, with 10 being average and 40 being outstanding. Godfrey's 31.0 is Purdue Fort Wayne's fifth best ever recorded by the site. Only nine above 30 have been recorded by a Mastodon since 2010-11. For context, last season only one performance in Horizon League play earned a game score of 31.0 or better. That was Jalen Tate of Northern Kentucky's 34.1 game score against IUPUI on Feb. 14, 2020.
• Jarred Godfrey has made 23-of-27 free throws on the season (85.2 percent), third best in the league. He entered the season shooting 69.6 percent from the line in his career.
• Jarred Godfrey is officially on the 1,000-point total watch as he enters this weekend with 844 career points.
• Jarred Godfrey has scored 20 or more points in four-of-six Horizon League games this season.

He is now in fifth place in program history in the category. Up next on the list is Brent Calhoun (2012-17) with 109. Carl and Calhoun were teammates in 2016-17.
PIP: Jalon Pipkins is averaging 11.0 points including 18 points in the opener against Southeastern Louisiana. He had the game-winning basket against Southeastern Louisiana with an old school three-point play that put the 'Dons up 65-63 with 12 seconds left in overtime. The guard came to Purdue Fort Wayne after playing 23 games at CSUN to start his career in 2017-18. He transferred to Paris Junior College in 2018-19 where he averaged 21.5 points per game. Last season at Loyola Chicago he played in 30 games with one start while averaging 3.4 points per game.
