Mastodon Softball Announces 2022 Schedule

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Purdue Fort Wayne softball head coach Amber Bowman has announced her program's schedule for the 2022 season.
In Bowman's first season as the head coach of Purdue Fort Wayne, the Mastodons are slated to play 50 regular season games, with 27 in Horizon League play.
The Mastodons will have three tournaments to highlight their non-league schedule. The 'Dons open the year in Montgomery, Alabama at Alabama State's Black & Gold Tournament on February 11-13. The following week, Purdue Fort Wayne will visit the Volunteer State for the Chattanooga Challenge. Lastly, the Mastodons will play in Marshall's Thundering Herd Round Robin, where they will play Marshall, Maryland Eastern Shore and Winthrop on March 4-6.
The Horizon League schedule will feature five home series and four on the road. Purdue Fort Wayne will host UIC (March 11-12), Oakland (April 1-2), Detroit Mercy (April 15-16), Youngstown State (April 29-30) and Northern Kentucky (May 6-7). The Mastodons will hit the road to play at Cleveland State (March 18-19), Green Bay (March 25-26), IUPUI (April 8-9) and Robert Morris (April 22-23).
Purdue Fort Wayne will also have non-league games against Kent State (March 29, DH), at Eastern Illinois (April 6, DH), at Valparaiso (April 12, DH), at Butler (April 19) and at Dayton (April 27, DH).
