Track & Field Announces 2021-22 Indoor Schedule

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Purdue Fort Wayne track and field teams announced the release of its 2021-22 indoor schedule on Thursday, Nov. 4.
The Mastodons will compete at the Lutheran Health Fieldhouse multiple times during the indoor season. They will open the season on Friday, Dec. 3 with the Mastodon Multi Invitational, followed by the Mastodon Opener on Saturday, Dec. 4.
Following the Mastodon Opener, the 'Dons will travel to Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne, Ind. to compete in the Strive For Greatness Invitational on Friday, Dec. 10.
The final time the 'Dons will compete at the Lutheran Health Fieldhouse is on Saturday, Jan. 22 for the Mastodon Invitational.
The 'Dons will head to Michigan to compete in two meets during the indoor season. The first will be in University Center, Mich. for the Saginaw Valley State University Classic on Friday, Jan. 14. This will be the first time either the men's or women's track and field teams compete at SVSU.
Purdue Fort Wayne will then compete in the Youngstown State Mid-Major Invitational Jan. 28 and 29.
On Feb. 11 and 12 the team will split and compete in both the Grand Valley State University Big Meet in Allendale, Mich and the Doug Raymond National Qualifier hosted by Kent State. It will be the Mastodons' first trip to Kent State for an indoor meet.
Up next will be a trip to Indiana State and the ISU Open on Feb. 19. It will be the final meet for the 'Dons before traveling to the 2022 Horizon League Indoor Championships Feb. 26 and 27 in Youngstown, Ohio. The women's team finished tied for fifth and the men's team finished in sixth place at the 2021 indoor track and field championships.
