FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's soccer team will return home to Fort Wayne as they host Youngstown State at Zollner Stadium on Wednesday (March 17).

SCOUTING THE MASTODONS
Purdue Fort Wayne is coming off of a 2-0 loss against the UIC Flames. UIC earned their quickest goal in program history at 1:04. Zoe Greenhalge finished the game with four shots, one on goal, and Morgan Reitano and Eliese LaCourt contributed two shots apiece. Lorah Pund earned six saves in 90 minutes.
SCOUTING THE PENGUINS
The Penguins are coming off a match with the Northern Kentucky Norse, but dropped the match 1-0, falling to 0-5 on the season. YSU's Regan LaVigna took three shots during the game and had the Penguin's only shot on goal. Goalkeeper Mackenzie Simon had three saves in her season debut. The Norse out-shot Youngstown State 10-4.
SERIES HISTORY
The last time the Penguins and Mastodons met was back in 2019 at the Farmers National Bank Field in Youngstown, Ohio. Youngstown State earned a 2-1 victory and Macella Sizer had the winning goal. Eliese LaCourt scored after a corner kick by Tahra Brodbine four minutes into the second half.
THE GREAT OUTDOORS
The 'Dons will play their first outdoor match of the season on Wednesday (March 17). The Mastodons will play on a turf field at the Zollner Stadium on the Concordia Lutheran High School campus. So far, Purdue Fort Wayne has played five straight matches indoor.
THAT'S A BIG ROSTER!
This year's roster of 27 is the program's largest roster in program history. The 2020-21 roster has 11 freshmen, nine sophomores, two juniors and five seniors.
