Mastodons Will Head to Terre Haute for Gibson Invitational

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne track and field program will head off to Indiana State for the Gibson Invitational on Thursday (April 15), Friday (April 16) and Saturday (April 17). Thursday and Friday will begin at 10 a.m. and Saturday's events will begin at 11 a.m.

They Did What?!
The Mastodons went across town to Indiana Tech for the Warrior Open on Saturday (April 10). The men's track and field team walked away with a school record and two first place finishes. John Jackman finished the 100 meter dash with a new school record time of 1.99 and placed 12th. Alex Schipper had a mark of 4.20m in the pole vault, finishing in first place. Andrew Whitinger took first in the 5000 meter run and recorded a time of 15:19.71. On the women's track and field team, the Mastodons claimed one school record. Freshman Jesseca Hudson-Turpin set the school record in the 100 meter hurdles and clocked in a time of 14.33 with a second place finish.

Purdue Fort Wayne will compete at the Oakland University for the Elaine Leigh Track and Field Invite on Saturday (April 24). Saturday's events will begin at 12 p.m. at the Oakland Track and Field Complex.
