Jen Springer Signs With Purdue Fort Wayne WVB

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Purdue Fort Wayne women's volleyball head coach Steve Florio announced on Wednesday, April 21 that Jen Springer will be joining the program in the fall of 2021.
"I am excited to have Jen joining our team," Florio said. "Her quick first step and ability make big plays will give us more depth in our defensive efforts. Plus, Jen is a phenomenal student and a really good person. She is a welcome and fitting addition to our fantastic team culture."
Springer, a 5-foot-4 libero, comes to Purdue Fort Wayne from Pittsboro, Indiana. She attended Tri-West High School and Avon High School, where she was a top-15 student and a member of the National Honor Society. Springer recorded 1,373 digs and 102 aces in her career. She had a career-best 40 digs against Western Boone in 2019. She was a three-time All-Conference First Team selection, an All-County First Team honoree in 2018, and a 3A All-District pick. She led her team to sectional championships in 2019 and 2020, and county and conference titles in 2020. She played club ball with Team Pineapple.
In addition to her volleyball playing career, Springer was also a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Council, Athletic Leadership Council and the Youth Leadership of Hendricks County. She also competed in the track and field and softball programs. Academically, she earned recognition with an Academic All-State nod in 2020.
Springer will join the Mastodons in the fall of 2021 to compete for their second-consecutive berth to the Horizon League Championship.
