FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Purdue Fort Wayne will head to a pair of former Summit League rivals this weekend with contests at Eastern Illinois and Western Illinois.

ABOUT THE PANTHERS:
• The Panthers played Milwaukee to a scoreless first half on Monday before the clouds opened up and the game couldn't be continued due to lightning.
• The Panthers' only match on the season is a 1-0 loss to Xavier on Aug. 27. Xavier held an 12-8 advantage in shots and 6-1 in shots on goal.
• Nine Panthers came off the bench to see time in the contest with Xavier.
SERIES HISTORY WITH EIU:
Eastern Illinois leads the series 12-6-0. There has never been a tie in the series. Each of the four previous matchups have been one-goal games. The last time the 'Dons played in Charleston they won 2-1 in overtime after both clubs scored in the first 10 minutes of the game. Nine previous meetings came when both teams played in the Summit League. The series dates back to 2001 when the 'Dons joined NCAA Division I. • It will be a double Horizon League weekend for Western Illinois as they have a match with IUPUI on Friday.
• The Leathernecks have a 1-0 loss to Drake on the season. They out-shot Drake 14-6 but couldn't find the back of the net.
• Kyle Owen had two goals and an assist during WIU's three exhibitions.

Western Illinois leads the series 12-3-2. WIU is the alma mater of Mastodon head coach Stephen Gorton. He was All-Mid-Con Second Team as a player and then served as an assistant coach 2004 when the Leathernecks won the league tournament.
ABOUT THE MASTODONS:
• Erik Josson owns 12 saves on the season over the first two matches. He stopped two penalty kicks against Bellarmine.
• It was the first time in program history (NCAA Division I era) that a Mastodon goalkeeper stopped two penalty kicks in the same game.
• Keith Larson earned two shots on goal over the Mastodons' first two games. He is playing his first collegiate contests. Larson attended Michigan State for three years but did not play for the Spartans. Last summer he competed for the Detroit City FC U23 team.
SMITTEN WITH THE MITTEN:
The Mastodon roster features 12 student-athletes from the state of Michigan. Most have arrived since Mattawan, Michigan native Stephen Gorton took over as Mastodon head coach.

Ayrton Redmore is a newcomer seeing some early time as he has started both matches for the 'Dons this season. The Australia native was an all-league performer at NAIA LSU Shreveport last season with two goals and five assists.
