CHARLESTON, Ill. – Erik Josson made four saves to lift the Purdue Fort Wayne men's soccer team to a 1-0 non-league road win on Friday (Sept. 3) afternoon at Eastern Illinois.
Josson stopped two shots in each half of the contest to get the victory and the shutout. The 'Dons gave up only two shots within the 18-yard box all game.
The only goal of the game came in the 17th minute. Keith Larson scored his first collegiate goal on an assist from Emil Fosse. The tally put the 'Dons up for good.
The Mastodons held a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks in the contest.
Eastern Illinois falls to 0-2-0. The Mastodons improve to 1-2-0. The 'Dons are at Western Illinois on Sunday.
