Razo Nets First Goal in Loss at Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio - The Purdue Fort Wayne men's soccer team fell 2-1 on the road at Dayton on Monday (Aug. 31).
Brandon Razo scored his first collegiate goal in the 14th minute, finding the back of the net to put the Mastodons on top 1-0.
Razo led the Mastodons with two shots, while Karsten Ternes, Ben Hissrich, Davan Arias and Eason Haller each recorded a shot.
Sep Habibi made five saves in goal, while Dayton goalkeeper Santino Inkpen recorded one save.
Dayton evened the match in the 52nd minute before taking the lead in the 87th minute.
Purdue Fort Wayne falls to 0-2-0 on the season, while Dayton improves to 3-1-0.
The Mastodons return to the Hefner Soccer Complex to host Manchester for the department's annual Party at the Pitch on Thursday (Sept. 3). There will be food trucks, giveaways and a beer tent (21+). The event is presented by Army ROTC and hosted by the Student Activities Board.
