Kasey Lilly Breaks Program's 54-Hole Record at EKU Intercollegiate

RICHMOND, Ky. - Thanks to a final round of 67 (-3), Kasey Lilly broke the Purdue Fort Wayne men's golf 54-hole record on Saturday, September 3. Lilly shot a 208 at the EKU Intercollegiate, which broke the previous record by two strokes.
Lilly's 208 put him in sixth place for the weekend, marking the fifth top-10 finish of his career.
As a team, the Mastodons moved up from 12th to seventh after the final round, shooting a 279 as a team. They finished with a 858 team score, which tied the fourth-best team score in program history.
Lilly turned in his 11th under-par round as a Mastodon behind four birdies on the front nine. After starting on hole nine, he rattled off nine straight pars from hole 11 to hole one. He moved up from 15th to sixth with his 67.
Tyler Green also had eight pars on the back nine, then dropped a pair of back-to-back birdie putts to start the front. He also improved on the day, moving up from 15th to 13th. With his even-par round, Green shot 211 (+1).
Brett Seward held his average for the week with a 73 in his final round for a 219. He got a birdie on 18 and then another on four to go with his 11 pars. His 219 was good enough for a tie for 59th.
Luke Miller had his score taken on Saturday with a 69 (-1). He finished with birdies on two par-5s and two par-4s, including the par-5 12th, which was his starting hole. Miller finished with a 222. Jadden Ousley rounded out the lineup with an 83 in his final round. He had eight pars to his name, finishing with a 235.
The Mastodons will take the course again on Monday, September 13, when they travel to the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational in Huntington, West Virginia.
