Mastodons Celebrate Senior Day on Wednesday
11/1/2022 11:28:00 AM | Men's Soccer
FORT WAYNE Ind. - The Milwaukee Panthers are coming to town on Wednesday (Nov. 2) for a Horizon League tilt on Senior Day.
Game Day Information
Who: Milwaukee Panthers (1-7-8, 0-3-5 Horizon) at Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons (1-10-3, 0-6-2 Horizon League)
When: Wednesday, November 2 | 2:00 p.m.
Where: Hefner Soccer Complex
Live Stats: Link
Watch: ESPN+
Series History:
The Mastodons are 2-4-0 against the Panthers. Milwaukee owns wins in both previous Horizon League meetings, defeating the 'Dons 2-1 last season and 3-2 a season before. The Mastodons defeated Milwaukee 4-1 in 2011 in Milwaukee and 1-0 in Fort Wayne in 2010.
Know Your Foe:
NCAA history could be made on Wednesday at Hefner. The Panthers own eight ties, and are one draw away from evening the NCAA record for draws in a season at nine. Four other teams have accomplished the feat in the past, most recently UC Davis in 2014 (7-4-9). Others include South Florida (8-4-9 in 2013), St. John's (9-3-9 in 2009), and Providence (8-4-9 in 2005). With the changes in overtime this season, a new record could be set as Fordham (3-4-9) is already at the standard and Milwaukee is one of three (St. Joseph's/Navy) with eight.
Familiar Faces:
Cesar Cosio, Nathaniel Edwards and Logan Lee have started all 14 games for the Mastodons this season. Logan Lee owns a team-high 1,177 minutes. He has played all 90 minutes in a match eight times this season.
Looking Back:
Keith Larson had a goal for the 'Dons in a 3-1 loss to IUPUI on Saturday. The Mastodons took 14 shots in the game, tied for second most in a game this season. The Mastodons' eight corner kicks in the game set a season high.
Today... Is Senior Day:
It will be Senior Day for the Mastodons on Wednesday. Cesar Cosio, Moses Akimana, Logan Lee and Keith Larson will be honored prior to the match during Senior Day festivities.
