Mastodons Fall in Season Opener at No. 22 Michigan

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Quinton Morton-Robertson finished with a team-high 15 points in Purdue Fort Wayne's 75-56 loss to No. 22 Michigan on Monday (Nov. 7) evening.
Morton-Robertson, in his first game in uniform for the 'Dons after redshirting last season, scored 10 points in the first half. Deonte Billups opened the game with a pair of 3-pointers to put the Mastodons up 6-2. While the 'Dons would fall behind by double-digits in the opening half they would get within eight at 25-17. It was a nine-point game until Michigan made a 3-pointer with six seconds left in the half to go up 40-28.
The Mastodons went on a 10-0 run in the second half to make it a 59-47 game with 8:05 left. Morton-Robertson had the 3-pointer to cap the run. However, the Wolverines pulled away from there.
Bobby Planutis made three 3-pointers to record 13 points and a career-high 12 rebounds.
The 'Dons made nine 3-pointers.
Michigan was led by Hunter Dickinson's 22 points.
The 'Dons return to action on Saturday at home against SIUE.
