Jack Lang Homers in 7-1 Loss to Golden Eagles

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech used a two-run first, a three-run fourth and a pair of single runs to defeat Purdue Fort Wayne 7-1 on Saturday (March 5) afternoon.
Jack Lang was responsible for the Mastodons' lone run of the day thanks to a solo home run in the third inning. It made the score a 2-1 Golden Eagles' lead. Lang also had a walk on the day. Lang has two home runs on the season, already matching his total last season. Dylan Stewart went 1-for-3 with a double and a walk.
The 'Dons had chances, but finished the contest 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position. Purdue Fort Wayne earned a base runner in eight of the nine innings.
Mitchell Spencer (0-1) suffered his first loss of the season. He allowed six runs (five earned) in 5.1 innings. Bryce Martens allowed one run in 2.2 innings of work.
