'Dons Earn Multiple First Place Finishes at We Fly Challenge

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Purdue Fort Wayne men's track & field team competed in the We Fly Challenge, hosted by Ball State, on Saturday, April 16.
Kehinde Oladapo (1:57.59), Kobe Milledge (1:57.77), Husam Saleh (1:58.10), Weston Miser (1:58.62) and Draven Thompson (2:02.94) finished in first, second, third, sixth and eighth place in the 800-meter run. Saleh (4:00.23) and Thompson (4:09.69) also finished first and third in the 1500-meter run. Andrew Whitinger (10:01.40) and Noah Wright (10:53.50) earned first and third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
Dona Fagnon (11.07 seconds), John Jackman (11.23 seconds) and Kai Auernheimer (11.62 seconds) finished second, third and eighth in the 100-meter dash. Fagnon also took second in the 200-meter dash (22.41 seconds). Nicolas Blair (50.76 seconds) was third in the 400-meter dash and eighth in the 200-meter dash (23.02 seconds).
In field events, Cain Hohne (1.94 meters) and Lane Hawkins (1.85 meters) finished first and third in the high jump.
The Mastodons will be back in action on Friday and Saturday, April 22 and 23 to compete in the Gibson Invitational, hosted by Indiana State.
