Four More Program Records at Day Two of WKU Hilltopper Relays

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Purdue Fort Wayne Men's Track & field student-athlete's Aaron Martin, Brent Donaldson, and the men's 4 by 400 meter relay team broke program records at day two of the WKU Hilltopper Relays on Saturday, April 2.
Martin's throw of 61.99 meters in the javelin bests the previous record of 58.90 meters set by Ryan Quesenberry back in 2003. Martin's throw was good enough to win the event.
Brent Donaldson broke the record in the 110-meter hurdles (15.21 seconds) and the 400-meter hurdles (55.66 seconds). He placed fourth in the 400-meter hurdles and seventh in the 110-meter hurdles.
The men's 4 by 400 meter relay team of Brent Donaldson, Braxton Trittipo, Nicolas Bair and Joe Cartwright won the event with a time of 3:21.01. Their time topped the previous of 3:24.23 which was set back on April 16, 2021.
In sprint events, Trittipo (50.46 seconds) and Joe Cartwright (50.94 seconds) finished third and ninth in the 400-meter dash.
In mid-distance & distance events, Draven Thompson (4:00.97) and Husan Saleh (4:03.45) were seventh and ninth in the 1500-meter run. Kobe Milledge (1:57.50) and Weston Miser (1:59.55) were eighth and 11th in the 800-meter run.
In field events, Cody Loshe (4.45 meters) was third in the pole vault.
In throws, Zyler Johnson (44.10 meters) and Martin (41.30 meters) were second and eighth in the discus. Kai Auernheimer (52.29 meters) was fifth in the javelin throw.
The 'Dons travel to Rochester, Mich. to compete in the Golden Grizzles Invite, hosted by Oakland, on Friday and Saturday, April 8 and 9.
Oakland is set to host the Horizon League Outdoor Track & Field Championships May 6-8.
