Sonia Solis had a double to left center to score Bailey Manos in the top of the seventh to tie the game at six. Ryleigh Carraway pinch ran fo Solis and got to third, but the 'Dons only had one out left to work with before Georgia State sent them back to the dugout. Alanah Jones stranded a pair of Panthers in the seventh to push the game to extras, but Georgia State won on a squeeze bunt in the eighth.
The Mastodons led 4-0 thanks to a pair of doubles from Grace Hollopeter and Taryn Jenkins in the third, then Alise Moneypenny got a solo home run in the fourth to make it 5-3.
The 'Dons had 10 hits, with Jenkins and Taylor Warne recording two each.
Jones threw all 7.1 innings and struck out seven Panthers. This week, she struck out 22 batters in 22.1 innings of work.
