New 4x400 Relay and 200 Meters Records Set in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A pair of new school records were set on Friday (Feb. 3) at the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic for the Purdue Fort Wayne women's track and field program.
Sophia Buck, Jesseca Hudson-Turpin, Dylan Kirkwood and Katie Clark set a new 4x400 record at 3:50.61. They broke the same record they set two weeks earlier.
Clark had the second record of the day. She ran the 200 in 25.43 for a new program mark. Clark also turned in a third-place performance in the 400 (56.59).
Jai Reed won the long jump thanks to a leap of 5.62 meters. Kelsey Shatava turned sixth place finish in the high jump (1.55 meters). The triple jump saw Louiza Kruiswijk take third (11.43 meters).
The 'Dons put together a nice performance in the 60 hurdles. Hudson-Turpin was second (8.59), Jordan Yanders took third (8.80) and Kirkwood earned sixth (8.86).
Purdue Fort Wayne earned 50 points for fifth. Marshall won the team title.
The 'Dons are back in action at Hoosier Hills on Feb. 10.
