Kirkwood Wins Long Jump at Cedarville

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Dylan Kirkwood won the long jump thanks to a jump of 5.07 meters at Cedarville's Yellow Jacket Collegiate Open on Saturday (March 25) for the Mastodon women's track and field program.
Sophia Buck was 10th in the long jump (4.71 meters) and seventh in the javelin (27.98 meters). Kirkwood was eighth (27.86 meters) in the javelin. Kelsey Shatava took ninth in the high jump (1.48 meters). Rosiebella Fiabema earned 10th in the discus (37.28 meters). Ramey Wilder earned 11th in the 100 hurdles (16.44)
The 'Dons also had a handful of student-athletes in action at the Raleigh Relays in North Carolina. Jai Reed was 34th in the long jump (5.39 meters). Jesseca Hudson-Turpin ran the 200 in 25.08 for 50th. The 'Dons were 14th in the 4x100 relay (47.79). This tied the school record previously set in 2019.
The 'Dons are back in action on March 31 at Washington University's Distance Carnival.
