Ben Higgins Selected as Horizon League Batter of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS – Purdue Fort Wayne's Ben Higgins has been named the #HLBASE Batter of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday (April 4).
Higgins became the first Mastodons to hit three home runs in a game since 2016 in the Mastodons' 12-9 victory at Youngstown State on Friday. On the week, Higgins finished with eight RBIs, eight runs, five hits, two walks and a stolen base. He had a double to go with his three home runs.
Higgins helped the 'Dons to a series win at Youngstown State.
This is Higgins' second career weekly award from the Horizon League.
