Jenkins and Wintlend Named to Valeo #HLSB All-Academic Team

INDIANAPOLIS - Taryn Jenkins and Brooke Wintlend of the Purdue Fort Wayne softball team were selected to the Horizon League's All-Academic Team on Friday (May 5).
Jenkins and Wintlend are both first-time honorees for the Academic All-League team. Jenkins has a 3.73 GPA in the criminal justice program and Wintlend has a 4.00 in accounting.
Jenkins is batting .375 and slugging .611 this season while racking up 54 hits, 32 runs and 21 stolen bases. The 21 stolen base mark is a top-five single-season performance in program history.
Wintlend was an All-Horizon League Second Team honoree in 2022 and is a two-time Easton NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete. She was named a Purdue Fort Wayne Top 50 Student this year.
