Mastodons Fall to IUPUI

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Three Mastodons finished in double figures in Purdue Fort Wayne's 85-79 men's basketball loss to IUPUI on Wednesday (Jan. 17) evening.
Jalen Jackson finished with a game-high 22 points and pulled down six rebounds. Rasheed Bello scored 19 points and shot 9-of-14 from the field. Anthony Roberts totaled 13 points and led the team on the defensive end with three blocks. The 'Dons had five blocks, their second-highest total of the season, along with nine steals. Eric Mulder added a career-high 12 rebounds on Wednesday night.
Bello led the 'Dons with 11 points in the first half. In the second half, Jackson led the team with 14 points. He hit a three with 9:40 to play and brought the 'Dons within two points for the second time in the half. But the Jaguars managed to pull away from there.
Jlynn Counter led IUPUI with 18 points and four assists.
Purdue Fort Wayne falls to 13-6 (4-4 Horizon League). IUPUI improves to 6-14 (2-7 Horizon League).
The 'Dons travel to Cleveland State for their next Horizon League game on Saturday (Jan. 20).
