Hudson-Turpin Victorious in 60 Meter Hurdles at Doug Raymond Invitational

KENT, Ohio – Jesseca Hudson-Turpin won the 60 meter hurdles for the Purdue Fort Wayne Women's women's track and field team at the Doug Raymond Invitational.
Hudson-Turpin ran a time of 8.87 in the prelims to qualify as the top seed for the finals where she improved her time to 8.69 to win the event. Dylan Kirkwood took eighth in the event with her time of 9.66.
Jai Reed finished sixth in the 60 meters with a time of 7.79.
Marissa Van De Weg ran a time of 59.52 in the 400 to take eighth. Abbigail Garwood was 12th in the shot put (11.63 meters).
Purdue Fort Wayne is set to split the squad between two meets next weekend. The 'Dons will compete at both the Mrs. G Invitational and the Meyo Invitational on Friday (Feb. 2) and Saturday (Feb. 3).
