Jon Diedrich Named MIVA Offensive Player of the Week

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Purdue Fort Wayne men's volleyball's Jon Diedrich was selected as the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association's Offensive Player of the Week, the MIVA announced on Tuesday (March 19).
Diedrich led Purdue Fort Wayne to two MIVA wins last week, topping Lindenwood and No. 8 Ohio State, both in three sets. The fifth year outside hitter had 18 kills in both contests, averaging out to 6.0 per set. That mark led the MIVA last week. From the left pin, Diedrich hit .415 for the week, including a .536 effort (18-3-28) against the No. 8 Buckeyes. He added two aces against Lindenwood.
This is Diedrich's second Player of the Week award of the season and sixth of his career.
Diedrich and the Mastodons are back in action on Saturday (March 23) against Ball State.
