MURRAY, Ky. - Brevin Miller won the shotput on Friday (March 22) for the Mastodon men's track and field team at the Murray State Margaret Simmons Invite.
Miller won the shotput with a mark of 15.27 meters. Zyler Johnson was fourth (14.25 meters). Andrew Roman took home the pole vault title with a mark of 4.55 meters. The 'Dons picked up a runner-up performance in the steeple with Andrew Arnos taking second with a time of 10:28.10.
Brent Donaldson scored points for the 'Dons in the 200, taking seventh (22.12).
Johnson took fourth in the hammer (48.42 meters) and fifth in the discus (43.84 meters). Owen Kaufman also had a top five finish in the hammer throw (47.21 meters).
The men's 4x800 relay squad earned second (7:58.72).
Day two is set for Saturday in Murray, Kentucky.
