Men Second at Margaret Simmons Invite

MURRAY, Ky. - The Purdue Fort Wayne men's track and field team took second at the Margaret Simmons Invite on Saturday (Mar. 23) with 113 points.
Brevin Miller set a new personal best mark in the javelin of 52.23m to take second place. Alex Evans took third for the 'Dons with a throw of 44.93.
Michael Drohosky and Harrison Niswander also reached the podium on Saturday. Drohosky finished second in the high jump after clearing the bar at 1.85m. Niswander took third in the 800m with a time of 1:58.10, just a few steps faster than teammate Kehinde Oladapo (1:58.76).
Jonas Morris used a time of 10.99 to take sixth in the 100. Austin Hall, in the 1500, was seventh (4:02.83).
The 'Dons will be split across three meets next weekend. Athletes will compete at the Texas Relays (Mar. 27-30), Bobcat Invitational (Mar. 28-30), and the Washington Distance Carnival (Mar. 29).
