FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Purdue Fort Wayne Track & Field will send athletes to three different meets this weekend in Austin, Texas, San Marcos, Texas, and St. Louis.

Men Last Week at Murray State:
Brevin Miller was one of two individual winners for the Mastodons at the Margaret Simmons Invite last weekend. Miller won the shotput with a mark of 15.27 meters and set a new personal best mark in the javelin of 52.23m to take second place. He was named the league's Field Athlete of the Week for his performance. Andrew Roman was the other winner for Purdue Fort Wayne winning the pole vault title with a mark of 4.55 meters. Michael Drohosky was one of two second-place finishes as he took second in the high jump after clearing the bar at 1.85m. The 'Dons also picked up a runner-up performance in the steeple with Andrew Arnos taking second with a time of 10:28.10.
Women Last Week at Murray State:
The 4x800 relay squad for the Purdue Fort Wayne women's track and field team took second place at the Margaret Simmons Invite. Mercedes Sarver, Lydia Carrell, Ava Genovese and Riley Tate ran a time of 9:45.12. Ellie Zagel was third in the javelin with a best mark of 37.02m in her outdoor debut. The Mastodons had two of the top five in the shotput with Nakia Harris-Campbell (11.84 meters) placing fourth and Abigail Garwood (11.50 meters) placing fifth.
Up Next: The 'Dons head to the Volunteer State for the Tennessee Invite next weekend (Apr. 5-6).
