Kevin Fee Signs With the Frontier League’s Joliet Slammers

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – 2024 Horizon League Relief Pitcher of the Year Kevin Fee has signed a professional contract with the Joliet Slammers of the Frontier League.
Fee held a league-best 3.28 ERA in Horizon League play in 2024. He finished tied for third in the league in both wins (seven) and saves (five). The four-year Mastodon made a program-record 90 appearances for Purdue Fort Wayne.
Fee made his professional debut on Tuesday (June 4) evening, throwing a perfect eighth inning with one strikeout in a 10-4 victory over the Trois-Rivières Aigles.
The Frontier League, founded in 1993, is the longest running active professional independent baseball league in the United States. The league comprises of 14 teams spanning from St. Louis, Missouri to Quebec City, Canada. It operates as one of four Major League Baseball Partner Leagues in the American independent baseball league system.
