'Dons Record Sixth Shutout in 2-0 Win Over Green Bay

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Mastodon men's soccer team recorded their sixth shutout of the season to pick up a 2-0 victory over Green Bay on Saturday (Sept. 21) afternoon at the Hefner Soccer Complex.
The win improves the 'Dons to 5-2-1 (2-0-0 Horizon League). Purdue Fort Wayne has given up just one goal in the last seven games.
The Mastodons went up in the 10th minute on a goal by Abe Arellano. His third goal of the year came from about 20 yards out. Felipe Medina assisted on the score. It stayed 1-0 until the 58th minute. Brandon Nunez delivered a perfect free kick into the box and connected with Aidan Antcliff on the other end. Antcliff's header found the back of the net for Antcliff's first goal of the season.
Nic Diana picked up his fifth shutout of the season by earning four saves.
The Mastodons held a 7-3 edge in corners.
The loss is Green Bay's first in league. They are now 6-3-0 (1-1-0 Horizon League). The 'Dons are back in action on Saturday (Sept. 28) at Wright State.
