Purdue Fort Wayne Men's Golf Visits West Lafayette for Purdue Fall Invitational

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne men's golf team will head south for a visit to West Lafayette to compete in the Purdue Fall Invitational on Sunday and Monday (Sept. 22-23) at the Kampen-Cosler Course. There will also be an individual tournament running simultaneously on the Ackerman-Allen Course.

About the Courses
• The Kampen-Cosler Course, a Pete Dye design, is an 18-hole, links-style, par-72 championship golf course featuring large bent-grass greens, fairways and tees. The layout presents a challenge for golfers of all abilities with vast sand bunkers, native grasslands, ponds and a natural celery bog. Kampen-Cosler offers five sets of tees with the championship tees playing over 7,400 yards and the forward tees playing at 5,300 yards.
• The Ackerman-Allen Course, a Pete Dye design, is an 18-hole, parkland-style, par-72 championship golf course featuring large bent-grass greens, fairways and tees. The layout presents a challenge for golfers of all abilities with rolling hills, tree-lined fairways, white sand bunkers, and minimal water hazards. Ackerman-Allen offers five sets of tees with the championship tees playing over 7,500 yards and the forward tees playing at 5,300 yards.

Mastodon Lineup
Justin Hicks, Brock Reschly, AJ Agnew, Nick Holder and Cody Coleman will be playing for the team score in the Purdue Fall Invitational. Landon Smith and Nick Bellush will be playing the Purdue Fall Invitational.

Freshman Phenom
In his first collegiate event, Justin Hicks tied the Purdue Fort Wayne men's golf freshman scoring record. He shot a 211 at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational.

Hometown Heroes
Justin Hicks and Nick Holder are both local products from Fort Wayne. Hicks played for Leo High School and Holder played for Bishop Dwenger High School.

High Expectations
Purdue Fort Wayne is coming off its best season in program history in terms of scoring average, which saw the Mastodons average a four-player score of 290.1, over three strokes better than the previous record from 2022-23.

Last Time Out
Purdue Fort Wayne finished seventh at the Golden Grizzlies Intercollegiate. Brock Reschly led the way for the Mastodons with an 11th-place finish.

The Mastodons will visit Lexington, Kentucky to play in Kentucky's Cullan Brown Collegiate for the first time.
