Mastodons Fall in Finale to Governors

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Purdue Fort Wayne baseball team fell to the Austin Peay Governors 12-0 in seven innings on Monday (Feb. 24) afternoon in the final game of a four-game set.
Sage Adams had two hits for the Mastodons. Justin Osterhouse walked and recorded a single.
Cameron Nickens knocked in three and had a two-run home run in the fifth inning to put the Governors up 6-0. Austin Peay scored six runs in the sixth inning.
Rex Stills started and went 2.2 innings, allowing two earned runs for the Mastodons. He took the loss. Lyndon Glidewell picked up the win with six innings of work for the Governors.
Austin Peay improves to 5-3. The 'Dons fall to 0-7. Purdue Fort Wayne is at SEMO this weekend.
