Gracie Brinkerhoff Selected as Horizon League Pitcher of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS - Purdue Fort Wayne softball pitcher Gracie Brinkerhoff was named the Horizon League Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday (April 29).
The senior threw a complete game and picked up her fourth win of the season against Northern Kentucky last weekend. In 7.0 innings, Brinkerhoff allowed five hits and one unearned run with three strikeouts. She got through the entire game in just 83 pitches. She led the Mastodons to a 3-1 win that clinched a sweep of the Norse for the first time in series history.
Brinkerhoff finished the week with a 0.00 ERA and an opponent batting average of .192. This is her second Pitcher of the Week award in her career. She earned one weekly award last year.
Brinkerhoff and the Mastodons will welcome Green Bay to the Purdue Fort Wayne Softball Field this weekend. Saturday (May 3) will be Brinkerhoff's Senior Day.
