Reschly Sits in 14th After Two Rounds at Golden Grizzlies Intercollegiate

ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Purdue Fort Wayne men's golf team is in eighth place after two rounds at the Goledn Grizzlies Intercollegiate on Saturday (Sept. 13).
The Mastodons shot 304-292-596, topping three of the seven Horizon League foes in the process. The 'Dons are three shots back of perennial league powerhouse Wright State.
Brock Reschly is in 14th place with a 74-71-145, the best of the Mastodons on day one. He birdied two holes, the fourth and 12th and parred 11 others. In round two, he started with four pars before his first bogey of the round. After a par on 15, he eagled the 551-yard 16th and parred three more. Later on, he finished his day with back-to-back birdies on eight and nine.
Julian Dugan and Justin Hicks are both tied for 34th with scores of 149. Dugan had a 76 in the morning, finishing the second nine holes even. Only a bogey on three and a birdie on eight were the only holes other than par. In the afternoon, Dugan had a 73 with birdies on one and 14. He was bogey-free on the front nine.
Hicks shot 75 in the morning, turning in 10 pars and three birdies in a row late in the round. He birdied four, five and six to move back to 4-over for the round. In his second time through the course, Hicks birdied 12 and 18 and finished the day with five pars in a row.
AJ Agnew shot 80-74-154, taking 52nd place through two rounds. In round one, Agnew had a birdie on 17 with nine pars to go with it. Later in the day, he birdied three and eight, along with 11 pars.
Nick Holder also competed for the team score, firing a 79-76-155. He parred 12 holes in round one, including nine of his last 10. In round two, the senior had a birdie on 16 to go with 11 pars.
Landon Smith shot 79-78-157 as he competed as an individual.
The last round of the Golden Grizzlies Intercollegiate will begin on Sunday morning (Sept. 14).
