Mastodons Still Undefeated After Draw With RMU

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Purdue Fort Wayne and Robert Morris played to a scoreless draw on Saturday (Sept. 27) afternoon at the Hefner Soccer Complex.

It was a meeting of two squads without a Horizon League loss this year, and 90 minutes of soccer didn't change that. RMU is now 3-1-4 (1-0-2), the Mastodons stay undefeated at 5-0-4 (2-0-1). The 'Dons are at the top of the league table with seven points.

Purdue Fort Wayne finished with six shots on goal to RMU's three. Andrew Hollenbach had a nice look in the 21^st minute for the 'Dons. Shane Anderson totaled three shots on goal, including an attempt off free kick in the 76th minute which was denied.

Sep Habibi got the shutout for the 'Dons, his fifth individual shutout of the year. Josh Lane earned the clean sheet for RMU.

Karsten Ternes, Jonny Hernandez, Hollenbach, Trey Theard and Anderson played all 90 minutes in the field for the 'Dons.

Purdue Fort Wayne is back in action on Oct. 4 at Milwaukee in league play.
