ST. CHARLES, Mo. - The Purdue Fort Wayne men's volleyball team topped Menlo in straight sets (25-19, 25-18, 25-23) on Friday (Jan. 16) to begin the Under Armour Challenge.

Logan Muir led the Mastodons through the first set, notching seven kills on a .700 hitting percentage. The 'Dons led the whole of the frame, taking set one at 25-19.

Purdue Fort Wayne rallied off two 5-1 runs in the second set to claim their largest set win of the match at 25-18. Owen Banner and Carlo Huisden each had five kills in the set to aid the Mastodons to a .500 hitting percentage in the set.

Menlo kept the third set within striking distance, pulling off a 6-2 run through the media. The 'Dons held off the Oaks to take the third set 25-23.

Muir led Purdue Fort Wayne with 13 kills on a .500 hitting percentage. Hunter Hopkins collected 33 assists and an ace in the contest. Owen Banner reached 10 kills and four digs.

Purdue Fort Wayne moves to 2-1. Menlo falls to 0-3. The 'Dons will face off against No. 11 CSUN on Saturday (Jan. 17) for the second match of the Under Armour Challenge.
